Lunacre threads that needle between a slithering uptempo straight pulse and those early snare hits; everything feels slightly ahead of time and I had no idea you could fit so much drum fill into half a beat. The result is a driven and complex arrangement that constantly pushes you deeper into a world of 16th note trills and psychedelic inverted waveforms.

There is so much to pay attention to, and so little time: the groove seems to bubble up at all the right moments, and sneak away when the lyrics need the spotlight. A satisfying sense of craftsmanship and melodic self-actualization come together to create more speaker-candy for the discerning Indie-Rock fan. Enjoy.

London four-piece Lunacre have returned with their next single Red Sky. This song is featured on our CHILL New Songwriters playlist.
