Don Brownrigg - Room For Me

This is an introspective and forlorn musical document; you can almost see tears in the eyes of humanity itself. The sad strings, the tritone that I hear, somewhere in the extensions on that acoustic guitar; and of course the lyrics, which paint a bleary and depressive scene.

It’s a personal trail of notes, to lead oneself out of the forest of self-loathing. Room For Me is an honest, melancholic, and masterfully-produced chamber-pop specimen from this Haligonian.

I’d like people to feel a commonality in the darkness and solitude one can struggle with. Be it from a lost relationship or struggling to find their place in the world.
— Don Brownrigg

The universal message here is one of self-preservation; it’s a reluctant moment of moving on, with a final pause for the last frenzy of regret between ex-lovers.
