I remember Alberta Cross from the release of Broken Side of Time almost a decade ago. After a few albums, a few label changes, they are back with a new single. It's a nod towards Americana but also showcases the signature Alberta Cross sound, which is that squeaky clear high-end vocal, sort of Neil Young meets Bruno Mars.

On Find A Home Out There, Alberta Cross taps in to the current folk revival, with a nod to Mumford & Sons, a roots production of a song that lives primarily on chord changes, melody, and a busy bass line. The voice of Petter Ericson Stakee adds the spice, taking the bones of a simple folk-pop song and elevating it with a classic and warmly understated pop aesthetic.
