This song will hit a sweet spot for anyone who grew up listening to some classic rock. It is a throwback sound a bit like The Record Company had in 2016 with Give It Back To You.

The guitar reminds me of classic bar-room brawling with a glass slide; that is some dirty talking right there. Yes, it's an homage, but it's in a tradition of Indie hat-tipping that goes back to Weezer calling out Buddy Holly on The Blue Album.

Screams within, silence without. I like that. A Valley Son brings elements of southern gothic and plain old nerd rock together in a way that will make you want to crack one more beer. Don't forget to pour some out for our boy Philip.
